harlequinromantics... well, the name is a little sappier than something i would normally use.
2 years ago i was trying to have both a casual line of jewelry [harlequin romantic]
and a more luxe line [epoq]. epoq never took off (and the name was already in use for watches... little did i know) so it was 86'd.
strangely... harlequin romantic did... and then one of my deviations were given a dd so felt i should stick with the etsy and the da accounts.
what is manhattan on mercury? if i were to ever require a house name for my designs it would be manhattan on mercury.
harlequin romantic will (unfortunately
i don't feel great about being synonymous with such flowery, mushy name :3
have a fab sunday!

that's awesome in and of itself.
the way i look at it is: you can view
it as boring or you can view it as clean
and dynamic
I love your jewelery creations by the way
The one I use now is made up of the first syllable of my first, middle and last name. KAtie MArie CROOnenberghs.
i like it has almost a japanese feel to it.
this is the kind of creative feedback that is
so much fun to get
there was a series of books i read a few years back, that took place in a country called Amara. i would go to the author's website and log onto the chatroom under the name 'Maiden_of_Amara.'
my friends on the chatroom soon had it shortened to Moa, and it stuck very well.
(the books were the Dragon Keeper Chronicles, i think. the author's name is Donita K. Paul if that rings any bells to anyone)
anyway, at this time, my sisters and i were totally obsessed with Star Wars. (i still like it, but im not completely obsessed, lol) when i made a DA account, it seemed logical to me to use my interwebs nickname, Moa and something that i loved (star wars.) and that i wished i could be (jedi).
so thats how i came up with Moa-isa-JediKnight.
now that im past that completely obsessed stage, my username seems silly and i wish i could change it, but some of my friends say that it reminds them of when we were all younger. (i have several irl friends on DA, they're the ones who say this)
so thats pretty much my username story. still seems very childish to me, and im afraid that people will stereotype me due to my name. but as i improve my art, i want people to be surprised when they come to my profile. like, such a dorky username, but wow! lol.
maybe it's selfish, but thats what i hope to happen. ^^
once upon a time i had the username captain_howdie
i'm not sure why i did away with it, but it was
brought about by my obsession with the movie
"strangland"
however, harlequinromantics is the name i don't
care for and somehow it has taken on a life of its
own... oh well.
but i say, if you have no reasons for "you" to be
invested in it, try on a new face (or name). your
friends will get it
